Hello! My name is Sierra Wilston, I am a millennial living in the Harrisburg area with my husband Luke and our excessive amount of wall art. I am passionate about online work and believe the internet has given us access to so much community, people we would never meet otherwise, and a way to connect others with our passions and projects. I was a worship leader for 17+ years, a worship pastor for 4, a church planter at one point, a speaker and teacher.
I have been working as a freelancer since 2017 for ministries, authors, and influencers. I wanted to take my freelance work to the next level by creating my own brand and having a place where potential clients could see my work and easily contact me.
I have 15+ years' experience helping a variety of organizations with their social media needs. Over those years I've developed a special interest in helping Christian communities and ministries, although I certainly will work with any demographic - the majority of my experience is with Progressive and Evangelical spheres of influence! I take my time to understand your target audience and work closely with you to create engaging and meaningful content.
Too often I have seen great organizations and people doing great work but struggling to connect online. In a world of rapidly changing trends and algorithms, it is more difficult than ever to use social media to your benefit. That's where I come in! I have an eye for design, a visionary mindset, and I love to help people use social media in ways to best accomplish what they set out to do. Quality websites matter, branding matters, and good content and consistency matter - these are all things I love to help make happen.
I am a Christ follower, a former foster child, sexual abuse overcomer, multi-ethnic woman doing my best to spread God’s heart of love, kindness, and encouragement to those around me. I value community and togetherness and express that often by having friends and family to our home, cooking meals, and inviting people into conversation.
I have been working in the world of online marketing, publishing, and content creation since 2009 - I was an inexperienced 23 year old working as an assistant to the owners of a new online publishing company. The owners took notice of my creative and administrative skills, asked me to join their writing and social media team, and was eventually promoted to running the department. I spent 3 years there learning everything I could as social media was just beginning to explode and developed my admin, writing, marketing, and website building skills. The company is no longer in business but I learned so much in my time there and I found a love for online publishing, writing, development, and marketing. Over the years I have worked for Destiny Image Publishers as Project Manager and Acquisitions Agent (I also had my hands in Marketing and Editorial work), Social Media Manager and Designer for Christ Community Church, Social Media Manager and Content Creator for Margie Fleurant Ministries as well as done work for authors, churches, and influencers of varying levels of platform and exposure.
